Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Beat the Sweep account and all associated data directly from the app. Deleting your account will remove the following:

• Your account profile and authentication credentials
• All saved parking locations and reminders
• Photos of parking signs you have uploaded
• Notification preferences and settings
• All usage history and activity data

How to delete your account in the app

1. Open the Beat the Sweep app
2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
3. Tap Delete Account
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Can't access the app?

If you are unable to delete your account through the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at beatthesweep@proton.me with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

Request Partial Data Deletion

If you would like to request the deletion of specific data associated with your account — without deleting your entire account — you can submit a request to us by email. Examples of data you can request to have deleted include:

• Specific saved parking locations or reminders
• Uploaded parking sign photos
• Location history and usage data
• Any other personal data we hold about you

How to submit a data deletion request

Send an email to beatthesweep@proton.me with the following information:

• Subject line: Data Deletion Request
• Email address associated with your Beat the Sweep account
• A description of the specific data you would like deleted

We will process your request and respond within 30 days. You may be asked to verify your identity before we can fulfill the request.

What Happens After Deletion

• Your data will be permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days
• Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being fully purged
• We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate legal purposes (e.g., fraud prevention)
• Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered
