Beat The Sweep - Never get a street sweeping ticket again!
⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently deleted from our servers.
How to Delete Your Account
You have two options to delete your Beat The Sweep account:
Option 1: Delete In-App (Recommended)
✅ Your account will be deleted immediately
Option 2: Email Request
- The email address associated with your Beat The Sweep account
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
- Any specific reason (optional, helps us improve)
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your Beat The Sweep account, here's exactly what happens to your data:

| Cloud Data (Firebase, Clerk authentication) | Permanently Deleted | Immediate |
| Push Notification Tokens (FCM tokens) | Permanently Deleted | Immediate |
| Photos/Images | Never Stored | N/A (processed locally only) |
| Anonymous Analytics (crash reports, usage stats) | May be Retained | Up to 90 days |
| Legal/Compliance Records (if required by law) | May be Retained | As required by law |
Important Notes:
- Immediate Deletion: Most data is deleted immediately and permanently from our servers
- No Recovery: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered or restored
- Scheduled Notifications: All cloud-scheduled notifications will be cancelled immediately
- Anonymous Data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained for up to 90 days for service improvement purposes
- Guest Users: If you used the app as a guest (without creating an account), your data is stored locally on your device only. Simply uninstall the app to remove all data.
After Account Deletion
- You will be signed out of the Beat The Sweep app on all devices
- You will no longer receive any notifications from Beat The Sweep
- You can create a new account anytime using the same or different email address
- If you reinstall the app, you will start with a clean slate
Alternatives to Deletion
Before deleting your account, consider these options:
- Continue as Guest: Sign out and use the app without an account (data stored locally only)
- Disable Notifications: Turn off notifications in Profile → Settings
- Delete Specific Data: Remove individual reminders or saved locations instead of deleting your entire account
- Take a Break: Simply stop using the app - your data remains secure and accessible when you return
